Professor Joseph E Diamond, Dept of Anthropology SUNY NP discusses an excavation completed prior to the construction of a driveway at the Crispell Cottage in the Hurley National Register Historic District (Hurley Main Street). Ten excavation units produced a total of 21,575 artifacts. These included pre-contact Native American artifacts and historic artifacts related to the seventeenth, eighteenth, and nineteenth centuries.
