Dear Friends of Hurley,

The Town of Hurley is a special place! Its history, natural beauty, and people make it so.

Fortunately, for the Hurley Heritage Society, the band, "Professor Louie and the Crowmatix," feels the same way. The band has graciously offered to perform a benefit concert for the Hurley Heritage Society. The concert will be held at the Hurley Reformed Church Hall on Saturday, September 23 at 7:00pm.

Professor Louie and the Crowmatix is a Grammy nominated band with close connections to Hurley, Woodstock, and the rock and roll group, The Band. Aaron "Professor Louie" Hurwitz stated in an interview with the Daily Freeman(January 15,2016) that his band is “an Americana group, based in musical roots and musical history of America. Hurley fits right into that." Professor Louie and the Crowmatix record their music in a studio on the Hurley Mountain Road. Hurleyites are praised by Hurwitz for being great neighbors.

We are not soliciting ads for a directory this year. Instead we are looking for community minded people to show their  support of the concert by contributing at the donor level for 25 dollars or the sponsor level for 50 dollars.  Your name will be listed in the concert's playbill. You can PRINT OUR FORM, make your check payable to the Hurley Heritage Society, and mail it to:

Christine Beesmer
17 Birch St
West Hurley, NY 12491

or you can contribute securely online using your PayPal account, credit card, or debit card. The deadline for donating to the playbill is September 9.
