Goals and Membership

The Goals of the Hurley Heritage Society are to:

  1. Preserve and disseminate knowledge about the prehistory and history of Hurley and its relationship to the surrounding area;
  2. Collect, preserve and display documents or artifacts that relate to Hurley's prehistory and history;
  3. Upon request, act as an advisory body to individuals and/or governmental agencies concerning the preservation of the architectural and historic character of the village;
  4. Help provide for the preservation of historic sites;
  5. Aid in the research and revival of the folk arts and crafts related to this area;
  6. Assist in the preservation of the local environment as a heritage of the community;
  7. Raise funds for these purposes through membership dues, grants and other means deemed appropriate by the Society.

 

Membership

Types:

  • Single Membership $15

  • Family Membership (dep under 18) $22

  • Life Membership $250

  • Corporate (annual) $150

Several reasons to become a member:

  1. You will be supporting the Goals of the Society. As a non-profit organization, all activities are supported through dues, donations, bequests, grants and fund raisers.

  2. You are entitled to a 10% discount on most items at the Museum Shop. (See museum shop page for details).

  3. Receive the Hurley Heritage Society Prologue mailing.
