Goals and Membership
|
The Goals of the Hurley Heritage Society are to:
- Preserve and disseminate knowledge about the
prehistory and history of Hurley and its relationship to
the surrounding area;
- Collect, preserve and display documents or
artifacts that relate to Hurley's prehistory and history;
- Upon request, act as an advisory body to
individuals and/or governmental agencies concerning the preservation
of the architectural and historic character of the village;
- Help provide for the preservation of historic
sites;
- Aid in the research and revival of the folk arts
and crafts related to this area;
- Assist in the preservation of the local
environment as a heritage of the community;
- Raise funds for these purposes through
membership dues, grants and other means deemed appropriate by the
Society.

Membership
Types:
Several reasons to become a member:

You will be supporting the Goals of the
Society. As a non-profit organization, all activities are
supported through dues, donations, bequests, grants and
fund raisers.

You are entitled to a 10% discount on
most items at the Museum Shop. (See museum shop page for details).
