Museum Page
The museum is open on weekends from May through October,
Saturday 10 AM - 4 PM and Sunday 1 PM - 4 PM
with a special sale Thanksgiving Weekend:
Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10 AM - 4 PM
The museum offers historical displays of local artifacts.
Brochures are available for free walking and driving
tours of the colonial houses dating from the 1670's to the 1800's.

The history: The Col. Jonathan Elmendorf House was built between
1783 and 1790. A relative, Conradt Elmendorf, married Arientze Von den
Burgh VanBuren in 1704. Tobias VanBuren, Arientze's child by a previous
marriage, was a forebear of President Martin VanBuren born in Kinderhook near
Albany.
When you visit the museum, don't forget to drop in at the Museum Shop!
You will find many artifacts and mementoes that are reminiscent of the
